FAQs

What’s included in a Spring Cleanup?

Our Spring Cleanup includes removing leaves, sticks, and winter debris from the lawn and beds, redefining bed edges, blowing out all hard surfaces, and preparing the property for the first mow of the season. Additional services like mulch installation or pruning can be added upon request.

Do I need to do anything before the cleanup?

Please remove toys, hoses, decorations, or any personal items from the lawn and beds. This helps our crew work efficiently and ensures nothing gets damaged. If you have gates, please unlock them before our arrival.

When do you typically start Spring Cleanups?

We usually begin Spring Cleanups as soon as the weather allows—often in late March or early April. Scheduling depends on temperature, snow melt, and ground conditions. You’ll receive notifications before your cleanup is scheduled.

Can Spring Cleanup be done if the ground is still wet?

Yes, to a degree. A slightly damp lawn is fine, but extremely saturated ground may require rescheduling to avoid ruts or turf damage. We’ll monitor weather conditions and adjust accordingly.

Do you haul away all the debris?

Absolutely. All leaves, sticks, and debris collected during the cleanup are removed from your property unless you request otherwise.

Is pruning included?

Basic light pruning can be added, but it is not automatically included. If your shrubs need trimming, just let us know and we can add it to your quote.

Do you install mulch during the Spring Cleanup?

Mulch installation is available as an add-on service. If you’d like mulch after your cleanup, we can schedule it for the same day or the following week depending on availability.

Is this service included in my weekly mowing plan?

No — Spring Cleanups are a separate, one-time seasonal service and not part of weekly mowing. Since winter leaves behind debris and overgrowth, this service prepares your yard for the mowing season.

Do I need to be home during the cleanup?

No — you do not need to be home. As long as we have access to the property and gates are unlocked, we can complete the cleanup without you being present. We’ll send a notification when the work is completed.

Will a Spring Cleanup make my first mow look better?

Yes. Removing winter debris, clearing matted leaves, and redefining bed edges helps the lawn breathe and allows for a crisp, clean first cut. A proper Spring Cleanup sets the foundation for a healthier and better-looking lawn throughout the season.
